I feel as though a butterfly-
Evolving, experiencing my metamorphosis
Anxious, to open my wings on high
Longing, to dance amongst the sky

Freed, to travel to new heights
Blessed, to kiss the flowers and spread good graces
Delighted, to bring joy and praise to others faces

I feel as though a butterfly-
Observing, beauty all around me
Circling, stuck in patterns of my own design
Resisting, my body, soul, and mind

Summoned, to share my story and others too
Humbled, to create
Inspired, His love conquers hate

I feel as though a butterfly–
Wishing, for a cocoon to hide
Vulnerable, to death and destruction
Steadfast, fighting its seduction
